From the smooth flow of her voice to the bold, confident vibe in the lyrics, SAFA has crafted something special — and she's about to take us on a whole new ride.

We had the chance to sit down with the rising star to chat about the inspiration behind 911, the evolution of her sound, and the exciting road ahead. Let’s dive into the world of SAFA and explore what makes her the realest lover girl on the scene right now.
From "The Prelude" to "911": A New Chapter
If you’ve been following SAFA’s journey, you know that The Prelude, her debut EP released in October 2024, was just the beginning. But with 911, she’s taking things to a whole new level.
“This track stands out for me because it’s one of those songs I wrote that I immediately fell in love with,” SAFA tells us. “It resonates with the girls—it’s that vibe of giving someone a taste of their own medicine. It’s like Casual’s sister. And because it was so fun sonically, it felt perfect to start rolling out the extended version of The Prelude with it.”
Yes, you heard that right. 911 marks the first single from The Prelude Extended, so this is just the start of a whole new wave of music. SAFA is bringing us six new tracks that will give The Prelude even more life and depth. Get ready for a whole new side to the project—and trust, it’s about to hit different.

A Journey Through Love
If there’s one thing SAFA does best, it’s weaving her personal experiences into every note and lyric. The Prelude isn’t just an album; it’s a story of love, heartache, and growth. From the butterflies of On You to the emotional depth of Why’d You Hurt Me So Bad, the EP takes listeners on a ride that mirrors the highs and lows of real relationships.
“The story is about love and experience,” SAFA explains. “I wrote all of those songs during different periods of my life. They told the story so beautifully and in the right order. From meeting someone new, to falling in love, to dealing with trials, it all comes together.”
But as we dive into 911, SAFA’s sound is evolving. She’s tapping into new sonic territories, bringing a fun, empowered energy to the forefront that’s bound to keep her fans vibing.

From Virginia to NYC: Finding Her Sound
SAFA’s journey from the suburbs of Virginia to the heart of New York City is one of reinvention and discovery. She credits the Big Apple with shaping her artistry and pushing her to break boundaries.
“Moving to New York helped framed my artistic journey,” she says. “When I first came here, I was studying medicine, and my life just did a complete 180. New York’s creative energy made me realize there’s space for me here. If it didn’t exist, I’d create it.”
In a city where hip-hop and R&B reign supreme, SAFA has thrived by blending influences from all corners of her life—from her Middle Eastern roots to the Latin sounds she’s surrounded by in NYC. These diverse influences come together in her music, giving it that unmistakable SAFA flavor.

The Sound of 911
When we asked SAFA about the sound and production behind 911, she couldn't hold back her excitement.
“I just love the production!” she says, grinning. “My friend Clayton, aka Pdubcookin, produced it, and it’s super fun and wacky. We really made it my own, adding drums to make it sexy and empowering. It’s all about saying how I feel—empowerment, confidence, and just having fun.”
SAFA also reveals that the song’s vibe came straight from her own life. “I wrote it the night after I experienced what I’m talking about. It just flowed out, and sometimes, when the flow is that good, you don’t want to revise it. It’s just raw, real emotion.”
The Future Looks Bright
With 911 about to drop and the extended version of The Prelude on the way, the future for SAFA is looking more than promising. So, what’s next?
“‘911’ is just the beginning. I’ve got more singles lined up, and I’m super excited to breathe new life into The Prelude with six new tracks. The roll-out is already starting, and the full project will drop before summer. You’re going to hear a lot more from me.”

Fans can expect a continuous journey through love, heartbreak, and growth. And who knows? A full album might just be in the cards after this extended project.
Legacy of Love
Looking ahead, SAFA’s long-term goal is simple yet powerful: to inspire people to express themselves unapologetically.
“When I think about my legacy, I want it to be about building a community,” she says. “I want people to feel like they can be themselves, share their feelings, and express their emotions without fear. Music is about feeling something, and I hope my music helps people do just that.”
With her fierce dedication, raw talent, and undeniable authenticity, SAFA is on track to leave a legacy that will resonate for years to come. And we can’t wait to be along for the ride.
